Always let your conscience be your guide!
I have thought of a fan fiction crossover story which my protagonist, Mickey Mouse goes on a journey to find his long-lost brother, Oswald and his wife, Ortensia, and reunite the whole family. His cousin, Judy Hopps, comes along to help and she falls in love with an Officer Nick Wilde, who also helps them look for Oswald. By the time they found Oswald, he refused to make up with thier father who was still mad at him for marrying a cat (Ortensia) instead of a rabbit (Francine Cottontail). After marrying Ortensia, Oswald was kicked out of the family and hasn't spoken to his parents since then. Mickey seems to be stuck in two different problems:
1) Should he tell Judy to forget about Nick because he's a fox and is not the son-in-law that her parents had hoped for or let her be with Nick?
2) Get his brother and father to make-up and be family again or accept that he couldn't mend the family back together because he couldn't get Oswald and his dad to make up.
Is it all right for my story to have two goals?
